Takk to me

On Sept 9, Jesse, Jessie and I went to the Tower Theatre in Philly to see the icelandic band Sigur Ros in concert.  It was incredible, even though the singer was sick.  they did all sorts of fun things, like singing through the guitar pickups and playing the guitar with a bow.  The show was very moving and entertaining.

Me, walking jauntily along to the concert, looking sharp in my fedora.

Some of the images from the concert - there were lots of visuals.

The band really was superb - they played some old material as well as some songs from their upcoming album.

Jess seemed happy, but Jesse was crying at the end of the show.  I let Jess wear the fedora for the walk back to the car.

A few days later, Mike and I went up to Bill's cabin in the Poconos to have a 9-11 commemorative event.

Bill (Proprietor of the cabin), Goey, his girlfriend Colleen, and Sean.

Emily and Katie, (Twin sisters).  Oliver, Bill's Boston Terrier, loves to attack people's shoes, and he had a grand time with my steel-toed boots.

We got to bed pretty late.  Even though there were plenty of beds in the cabin, Mike slept in his car, because it's so comfortable.  That's Uriah, stepping into the sunlight in the morning.

Most of the cats went home the next morning, but Billy, Mike and I stayed for another night, just chilling out all day, then smoking some hamburgers over birch chips from the woods for dinner.

Mike with a cool hat.

The following wednesday, Billy V. and I went to the Sterling in Allentown, where John was playing.  Also a kid named Ryan, who turned out to be one of Jessica's friends, was playing - and it was his twenty-first birthday!  I did a jolly rancher shot with him to celebrate.

The rest of these pictures are from the Christian music festival Fallout.  Billy and I got hired as security a few nights before, to watch the gear and make sure nothing grew legs in the night.  On the day of the festival, we used our "Security Clearence" to get in without buying a ticket - and then to rip off a program from an actual security guard!  Don't worry, before you all flip out, we didn't stay for concerts or get any free stuff, we just made a quick appearence to say hey to everyone and then took off.

The man himself, Dave Hinson, pimpin it out  - Dave really is the man, he lets us use our practice space for free, gives us great deals on sound equipment rentals(Movie premiere, Jesse's Wedding, Concerts) gives us great tickets to State Theatre shows, and is just an all around stand-up guy.  Unlike C.J. from PUD, pictured next to him.

And definitely unlike Pochahontas here.

Peace, kids.
