The First Worpelston Wedding
On Saturday, July 29th 2006, Jon and Anna (Of Worpelston Fame) became man and wife. Sweet.

I arrived in Greencastle around 9 pm on Wednesday. The girls were at a dress fitting, so after much getting lost, I finally arrived at the Mallins, where PS, Jon, Jeremiah and Lucas were playing Goldeneye on Nintendo 64. The girls eventually arrived, as did Jared (Jon's Brother as well as the best man). I spent the night at the Mallins. The next day we had our bachelor party for Jon. We played 18 holes of golf (some of them in the rain), went to an all-you-can-eat buffet, had some scotch and PS wet his pants. While golfing, I almost got hit in the shin with a Happy Gilmore ball hit with a driver from about 4 feet away, and then Keith Thornton almost overturned our cart. I went and picked Paul up in Carlisle, and we checked into a hotel room for the remainder of the stay. On Friday, went all attended a rehearsal, but I'm going to save that picture for last because it rules so much.
On Saturday morning, Paul and I set up the sound equipment without too much incident, then headed over to the church were all of the bridesmaids and groomsmen were milling about. That's Karen on the left and Lita with PS on the right.
Above, Oak reenacts a shocking story from the bachelor party. He's pretending to grab someone's wrist, that's all you need to know. On the left is Erin with Jared.

This is the face Paul makes when is necktie is cutting off all of the bloodflow to his brain. Or, at least that's what he claims. If you look over his shoulder, you can see a woman (I don't know who it is) who looks just like Kitty from "That 70's Show"

Here I am playing the bridal processional I wrote for Anna. I am the only pianist who looks almost as big as the piano.
Here's the wedding! Be sure to note the excited pastor, as well as the fact that I look kind of like a tiny bridesmaid. You can click this picture and go to a bigger one if you want more detail.

As soon as the ceremony wrapped up, Paul and I rushed back to the Thorntons (Where the reception was) and played some tunes as the guests arrived. The bridal party arrived and sat at the head table. Above you can Rachel (The Maid of Honor & Anna's sister), Lita and Rica.

And here's the happy couple. Awwww.

Andrew Hudzinski Joined the Navy recently (as did Karen) and he wore his spiffy dress whites. That's his 8-month-old niece he's holding. Jared stood up to make the best man speech.

Jon and Anna's First Dance.

PS and Rica Dancing, and the Father-Daughter Dance.

Paul and Rachel taking a turn on the dance floor.

Here are PS, Lita, Rica and Luke. In the second picture they establish how they normally are coupled. Notice the Champagne bottle in Lita's hand.

PS seems to think it can be the only explanation for behavior such as this.

I got to dance with the Rachel on the song she had requested. Good times. Paul puts in some quality time with a little Thornton.

PS danced with a rose during the song "100 years" by Five for Fighting (He had requested it) And Elisabeth musses up her dress as soon as the Bride and Groom leave the recpetion.

Here's that picture from the rehearsal I was telling you about. I love this picture, because it reminds me of so many other couple pictures I have seen. I think to myself "Wow, they look so grown up-" But then I realize that they don't LOOK grown up, they ARE grown up. And I guess that means that sooner or later, I'm gonna realize that I'm grown up as well.
Later, kids.
