Weddings and Whatnot

back to homepage

June 11, 2005 - My roommates, Jesse and Jessie were married at the Roxy Theatre in Northampton, PA.  It was quite a show, my band played, There were lights, a video - all kinds of entertaining stuff.

Before the wedding starts, Jesse pulls on his earrings nervously, as he is wont to do.

Part of the show was Dan and Evan doing a mime/clown routine.

Jesse and Jess' first dance together at the reception.  I almost missed it because I got lost, but I arrived just in time.  In the background to the right, you can see Kyle and Evan serenading each other to "Come What May," the song that the Jesses chose for their first dance.

Timmy Stonesifer, a.k.a. Spliff, with his girlfriend, Joanna.  Tim was the cinematographer for "Perfection"

Dan and Amy, Jesse's old roommates.  Amy, being a vegan, was not thrilled with the selection of food at the reception, so she made this face.

Evan's girlfriend, Rachel Amos (I know, I know, yet another Rachel to keep track of) also sat at my table.  If you can get a picture of her impromptu, as seen here, she photographs terribly cute.

Brad and Ashleigh, of projectionist crew fame.  (The projectionist crew was all of the old Carmike projectionists, as well as some assorted friends, roommates and significant others.  Curt and Rachel were also part of the crew, back in the day.)

Curt and Alicea

Keiko and Crystal DeSousza - they were high-school sweethearts when I went to LVCHS, and now they're married with a son.

Josh Paulus and his girlfriend, Missy

These are all of the Mastellers that I never get to see - From the left: Ryan, Rob and Jake.  Rob and Jake live in Tennessee, and Jake stayed at our apartment the week preceding the wedding.

After Evan's best man toast, Pappy (Jesse's grandfather, who refers to me as "Mac") was asked to lead everyone in a chorus of "God Bless America;" at Evans graduation party, he had wondered up on stage while band was playing, when he grabbed the microphone from the lead singer and proceeded to sing "God Bless America" very loudly.  We thought it was only fitting that he get this chance to do it again.

From left:  Jess in her wedding gown, Jess and Rachel, and Jesse, apparently having second thoughts after the wedding.  (But not really)

Cutting the cake

The happy couple, all sweaty, apparently.

Of course, following the wedding was the Jesse's honeymoon (They went to Disneyworld).  This meant that I had the apartment to myself, so I embarked on a week of adventures, such as:

Jon Cornelius concerts

And hangin' out at the barn with Mike, Bill Hill, Katie and Emily, and Tucker and Jenna.

The Jesses were gone for a week.

When they got back, we had a party and got our presents that they got us.  My present was this Belle doll (from Beauty and the Beast).

We gave them a day or two to settle back in, then we threw them a real party:

Jess, livin' it up as a married woman, apparently.

Rachel, Jess, Jesse and Evan dressed up with the intended theme being "80's dance party." Everyone else just dressed regularly.

Curt, Jesse and Evan reach for the camera.

Most of the night's dancing was done by Jesse and Rachel, as pictured above.

Isn't Curt sweet?

Evan brought his girlfriend, Rachel Amos (Remember her from the wedding pictures?)

Jess pretends to look concerned about somthing...

...but Rachel isn't buying it.

Evan Billy Voight showed up

Most everyone slept over.  Evan and Rachel claimed the futon in the living room.  I slept in my bedroom, and didn't let anyone in.

So it was good time, in general.  Now the Jesse are married and moving to the apartment up above Pappy's house in Bethlehem.  It's very sad for me, but at least it will probably lead to lots more parties; lots more pictures.
